How long will an emergency tarp last?
A properly battened dry-in holds for several weeks to a few months depending on exposure and UV. It is designed to get you to the permanent repair, not to be a season's roof.
Does tarping put more holes in my roof?
Fasteners are unavoidable, but where they go is the whole question. We place them high on the slope, above the water line, through battens that sandwich the tarp. Those penetrations are addressed when the permanent repair is done.
Will my insurance cover emergency tarping?
